The better the photo, the better the the portrait.

Reference Photos Tips:

  • High resolution photos are best, but iPhone-quality is generally sufficient.

  • Outdoor photos yield the best results. Natural light creates brighter highlights and stunning reflections in the eyes. However, brightly lit indoor spaces can also work well.

  • Take a photo of your pet at their eye level. A tip: Turn your phone upside down to get a lower angle.

  • Try to include photos that reflect your pet’s character and personality.

  • If your pet has passed, I can sometimes work from older photos or combine details from multiple images to create a meaningful tribute.
